Jeep Tour and Hike & Scrambling Jabal Umm Ad Dami
All our tours start from Wadi Rum Rest House (Google location here) in Wadi Rum village which is located about 7 km from Visitor Center. Feras will be welcoming you, offer you some traditional Bedouin tea and explain to you everything about the places we are going to visit.
After driving through the desert for 40 km to the south we reach Jabal Umm Ad Dami. The mountain lies on the border between Jordan and Saudi Arabia and it is the highest mountain in Jordan (more than 1,800 meters high). Then you will have a guided hike to the top, which usually takes about 2 1/2 hours and a little less to come down again. This is a magnificent drive going through the far valleys of Wadi Rum and crossing the beautiful and lonely Wadi Saabit. Just the driving to get there takes an hour and a half, so you should count this as a full day. The tour includes:
- Scrambling Jabal Umm Ad Dami
- Stop for lunch
- White Desert
- Little Rock Bridge
- Lawrence Spring
- Sunset View
- Overnight in cave or camp & dinner (Mashawi dish in the zarb, Salad, Jordanian bread, Tea, Sweets)
Next morning we take you back to the village.
After the arrival at Wadi Rum Visitor Center, pay the entrance fee (5JD) and inform the desk you already have a booking with “Wadi Rum Bedouin Guide” – Feras Zalabia. Do not trust people who are not able to present you with an ID.
