Join us for an 8-hour long Tour by 4×4, Hiking & Scrambling umm Ad Dami Mountain with its breathtaking views and unique landscapes under the guidance of true Bedouin guides born and raised inside the Wadi Rum Protected Area.
We will have a magnificent drive through the far valleys of Wadi Rum, crossing the beautiful and lonely Wadi Saabit with our only goal to reach the top of the tallest mountain in Wadi Rum.
Our starting point is the Wadi Rum Rest House in the Wadi Rum Village which is located about 7 km from the Visitor Center and is reachable by normal car.
After a 40 km drive through the south parts of the Wadi Rum desert we reach the foot of umm Ad Dami Mountain. The mountain lies on the border between Jordan and Saudi Arabia and it is the tallest mountain in Jordan (more than 1,800 meters high). There we will have a guided hike to the top, which usually takes about two and a half hours and a little less to come down again.
During this 8-hour tour, we will hike umm Ad Dami Mountain, take amazing photos, try our home-cooked Bedouin lunch and watch the famous Wadi Rum Sunset. You can find the full itinerary bellow with some extra details about each place you will be able to visit during this trip.
For some guests the experience will end here by returning to back to the Wadi Rum Rest House.
However, if you choose to spend the night with us, we will continue our trip by driving you to our traditional Bedouin Cave or Camp (which you can choose during the Checkout process).
There we will light up a warm fire, offer you some Bedouin tea and prepare dinner.
Furthermore, we will also provide you with all the necessary equipment like mattresses, warm blankets & pillows in order to safely and comfortably spend the night in the desert.
Usually every night we gather all together around the fire, play Bedouin music, dance and tell stories about the Wadi Rum desert and the Bedouin culture.
Moreover, don’t miss the opportunity to go for a night-time walk in the desert under our guidance and watch the amazing starry night sky.
Finally, the next day, after breakfast, we will take you back to the Wadi Rum Rest House where our adventure started.
Important: Don’t forget to check the “Extras” drop down menu in order to add your Overnight Stay and your Camel Ride.

After driving through the desert for 40 km to the south we reach Jabal Umm Ad Dami. The mountain lies on the border between Jordan and Saudi Arabia and it is the highest mountain in Jordan (more than 1,800 meters high). It needs about 2,5 hours to hike and the view it offers from the top is spectacular.
We will stop for lunch (Gallaya, Hummus, Tuna, Salad, Jordanian bread, Juice).
You will have the opportunity to taste our famous home-cooked lunch and our "secret recipe".
The White Desert is located near the Saudi border, 40 km south of Wadi Rum village. The landscape is similar to the Wadi Rum desert, but the sand is white. It is also an amazing place to see the sunset from.
Easy to climb, Little Rock Bridge offers great views across a broad expanse of desert. It is easily accessible and not dangerous, it is perfect for families with children and people who feel less comfortable with heights under their feet.
The spring is at the top of a short scramble – head for the fig tree, located just 2km south-west of the village of Wadi Rum. The spring was named in honour of Lawrence’s evocative description in the Seven Pillars of Wisdom: ‘’In front of us a path, pale with use, zigzagged up the cliff-plinth…From between [the] trees, in hidden crannies of the rock, issued strange cries; the echoes, turned into music, of the voices of the Arabs watering camels at the springs which flowed out three hundred feet above ground’’. Although the pool itself is largely unprepossessing, being a stagnant puddle, the views across the desert are truly spectacular.
We will sit down, relax and enjoy the famous Wadi Rum Sunset.
